HIV, Hepatitis C, and STI Services and Testing

What it is: Free HIV and Hepatitis C testing and linkages to HIV and Hepatitis C treatment, primary care, Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and recovery and behavioral health services, in partnership with Tenderloin Health Services

Medi-Cal

What it is: Federally funded health insurance giving beneficiaries access to health and psychological services
Who it is for: Low income individuals and families
Where: California
Cost: Variable, but mostly low cost

Medi-Cal is income based and many college students, including graduate students, qualify for benefits. All Medi-Cal beneficiaries automatically have access to Denti-Cal.

Covered California

What it is: Income based health insurance

Covered California gives benefit packages to people who make more than the cut off for Medi-Cal. If you make under the minimum income, your Covered California application will immediately be turned over to Medi-Cal for your county.
